The Lake Isle of Innisfree

written by W.B. Yeats ( 1865- 1939)

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,

And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattle made;

Nine bean rows will I have there, a hive for the honey bee

And live alone in the bee loud glade.

I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow.

Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;

There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,

And evening full of the linnet's wings. 

I will arise and go now, for always night and day.

I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;

While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavement grey,

I hear it in the deep heart's core.

( উঠব আমি,  যাব আমি, যাব ইনিসফ্রীতে,

সেথা বানাব ছোট্ট কুটির, কাদা মাখা ডালপালার বেড়া

সেথা পাব আমি নয় নয় শিম শুঁটি, মৌ ভরা মৌচাক 

মৌ-কুঞ্চনে থাকব সেথায় নির্জন বনবিথীকার।

সেথায় পাব আমি  কিছু শান্তি, আসবে শান্তি ফোঁটায়, ফোঁটায়

প্রভাতের পর্দা ফুঁড়ে ফোঁটায় ফোঁটায় আসে সেথা ঝিঁ ঝিঁ পোকার গান;

সেখানে মিটমিট করে জ্বলে মধ্যরাত, আর দ্বিপ্রহরের রশ্মি জ্বলে বেগুনি

আর ডানায় ডানায় ভরে যায় সন্ধ্যা শ্যামা গায়কের ঐক্যতান।

উঠব আমি, যাব আমি, সদা শুনি দিবা নিশি

হ্রদের তীরে ছলাৎ ছলাৎ ক্ষীন আওয়াজের তান

যখনি দাঁড়াই পথে বা কোন ধূসর চত্বরে 

কান পেতে শুনি এটা মোর গভীর অন্তরে। 

Theme: The poet feels an intense love of nature and glorifies the greatness of nature as nature presents a tranquil, carefree and tension-free life. He also disdains city life as city life is full of disadvantages like selfishness,  conflict etc. So he wants to go a lovely Island and live a life with natural environment.
